Cognac has an oily, incredibly smooth taste, flashing notes of candied berries and fruits, vanilla, cherry liqueur, dried fruit, licorice and mint. In the aftertaste, the fruitiness recedes, giving way to shades of dark chocolate, oak, coffee and light tannins, leaving a slight dryness.
