Exquisite aroma of whiskey demonstrates the nuances of dried fruits (figs, dates), honey, malt and gentle hints of sweetish smoke. A little later, hints of apple, orange spice pie, chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon appear. After another 5-10 minutes notes of dark chocolate, barley, sherry and peat become evident.
Cool, buttery whiskey taste perfectly balanced and structured. Along with velvety, sweet toffee, fruit stewed in syrup, peat, honey and coffee, harsher tones of roasted beef, leather, peat, ginger and ground pepper are felt, giving complexity to the taste. In a long, soft, dry aftertaste, notes of smoke, sea salt and heather honey remain.
