It opens especially well when paired with game, hearty meat dishes, beef, truffles, pasta with meat sauce and traditional hard cheeses from Piedmont. Decanting is recommended before serving.

The rounded taste of the wine demonstrates layers of shades of black and red berries, spicy spices and flowers, as well as subtle, elastic tannins, nuances of tobacco, oak and pepper. The finish ends with notes of minerals and mint.
