Color

The color is golden yellow.

Scent

The nose is full of fresh green pears and apples. These are complemented by additional flavours of fudge, heather honey and toffee. Below that are hints of earthy baking spices with cinnamon in the foreground.

Taste

On the palate this whisky is immediately soft and fudge-like with additional hints of toffee and chewy caramel candies. These sweet notes work well with the green fruits on the nose, although the apple and pear now seem more stewed or cooked rather than fresh and crisp. Additional notes of heather honey and golden syrup add some depth, along with hints of vanilla and raisin. Warming baking spices then emerge – particularly cinnamon, allspice and cloves. Late notes of white pepper and candied orange peel round out the palate.
