Compatibility

Armagnac is an excellent digestif, ie. aids digestion and is consumed at the end of a meal, but if consumed in the middle of a meal, smoked salmon, gourmet cold cuts, Gascon dishes, foie gras, sauces, traditional meat and game flambés go well with it. Armagnac is served with dessert (Armagnac with apple, with chocolate), while the strength of the drink is softened by a sweet dish. It is worth trying berries and fruits with it - Agen prunes, cherries, raspberries, oranges. Armagnac also goes well with coffee and cigars.

Armagnac excellent amber color.

Scent

Armagnac has a rich, complex aroma with iridescent hints of exotic fruits - pineapple, mango, apricot, and vanilla nuances.

Taste

Armagnac has a slightly burning taste at the beginning, but then reveals luxurious tones of prunes, nuts, vanilla and honey. The aftertaste is long.
