The Macallan Concept Series is a collection of 3 annual limited editions:

Macallan Concept 1 40% - The first in the series and one of a flurry of expressions launched by Macallan in 2018, this was inspired by the world of surrealist art. The box features the six pillars of Macallan reimagined through a surrealist lens.

Macallan Concept 2 40% - The second was released in late 2019 and created exclusively for global travel retail. This release is dedicated to music. The idea for a musical bottle came from Macallan Whisky Maker Steve Bremner, who blends whiskies by day and mixes music as a DJ by night. The whisky itself has been matured in sherry seasoned casks and then in ex-bourbon casks.

Macallan Concept 3 40.8% - The third and final release in the Concept Series. Released mid-2021. This edition brings together whisky and design through a collaboration with David Carson, a revolutionary graphic designer. The whisky itself was matured in fresh sherries and ex-bourbon casks. The bottle was available in Global Travel outlets and The Macallan Airport boutiques.
