Whiskey Advocate
Part two of this experimental trilogy brings madeira cask-matured Ardbeg into the recipe. Creamy aromas of lime zest, mandarin, banana bread, and white pepper as the peat smoke builds, adding notes of cedar and rolling tobacco. On the palate, warming citrus fruits, lime juice, apricot, peach, marble cake, spicy peat smoke, toasted peppercorns, nutmeg, cinnamon, and aniseed are all present. The smoky finish with menthol and eucalyptus really goes the distance.

Scent
Rich, sweet, aromatic and fruity, baked banana bread and syrupy sponge pudding fill the senses. Notes of molasses lead to the distinctive aroma of burning cedarwood. A splash of water releases a profusion of tropical fruits. Eucalyptus oil mingles with soft, aromatic smoke.
Taste
Savoury notes of lime and sweet peaches sweep across the palate. A burst of rich smoked fruit and baked bread melts into antiseptic candy, creosote and anise. Soft barley malt combines with nutmeg and peat smoke. The influence of these rare Madeira casks is undeniable. A whimsically smoky finish welcomes a long, lingering aftertaste of menthol, clove, wood smoke and camphor.
