Whiskey Advocate
A pale, creamy dram matured in heavily toasted, lightly charred, air-seasoned bourbon barrels, boasting buttery aromas and vanilla sponge cake, oyster shells, iodine, and coils of peat smoke. It’s super creamy, with sweet vanilla, honey, lemon lozenges, smoked citrus peel, pine, and a hint of cinnamon toffee. A soothing, mouth-clinging finish of creamy fudge, gentle oak, and mild smoke. An interesting experiment resulting in a meek Ardbeg, not a big beast.
