This wine shows bright and precisely defined aromas of cassis, leaves and raspberries. Jammy notes are supported by crisp acidity and a full body, with toasty flavors and elegant tannins. Drink or hold.
Wine Spectator
This is rich, dark and brooding, offering black currant, blackberry and plum fruit shaded by toasty oak. The new oak settles in with aeration, adding a resin note, while accents of iron and tobacco emerge on the finish. Shows fine balance and length. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Sangiovese. Best from 2027 through 2038. 539 cases imported.

Compatibility
Pairs well with red meats, game and mature cheeses, especially roast lamb or steak.
Color
The color is deep, rich purple-red with ruby highlights.
Scent
The aroma is rich and expressive - revealing dark berries (blackcurrant, plum), red berries, spices (nutmeg, cardamom), a background chocolate-coffee note and an elegant woody base from French oak.
Taste
The taste is full-bodied, with a velvety texture and dense but soft tannins; the balance of acidity and extract reveals dark fruits, spices and a subtle trail of chocolate and coffee, ending with a long, clean finish.
