This whisky is a rich, dark brown color.
Scent
Dried fruits, leather and a hint of citrus immediately open up on the nose, followed by a fresh sea breeze. Sweet fruity and floral notes come to the fore with poached pear, delicate rosehip syrup, black cherry and sweet mango. The complexity of the single malt becomes apparent as the flavours continue to develop, with cedar and soft oak complemented by toffee, praline, honey and a hint of cinnamon. Warming oats are balanced by aromatic notes of rose and pear drops.
Taste
Dried fruit, dates, raisins, barley sugar, leather and oak open up in the mouth, followed by toffee sweetness, praline and hints of coconut and fresh citrus. Sweet apples and pears combine with toasted oak, warming wood spices, dark plums and marzipan, with depth of layering revealed with each sip.
