Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Château Cheval Blanc is still incredibly primary at this very youthful stage. With coaxing, it unfurls to reveal beguiling notions of ripe black cherries, mulberries, licorice, baking spices and smoked meats with touches of incense and potpourri plus wafts of cast iron pan and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, very rich, very firm/taut and with very ripe, fine-grained tannins, it allows a glimpse at its incredible depth of flavors with a very long multi-layered finish. Wow.

The color is bright burgundy with shades of lilac.
Scent
It reveals notes of ripe fruit combined with a subtle hint of plum jam and hints of spice.
Taste
The palate is fruity, gourmand, mineral, zesty and offers freshness, tension and a beautiful and silky texture. The palate of this wine features notes of blackberry, plum and light notes of fresh blackcurrant, combined with light hints of strawberry, a subdued hint of licorice, as well as hints of jam, tobacco, wood and spice. Good length. The aftertaste is tender and aromatic.
