The aroma of Chateau Haut Maurac 2018 is complex and inviting, with notes of black fruit such as blackcurrant and blackberry, along with hints of spice, tobacco, and cedar. As it opens up, there may be a subtle earthiness or forest floor scent present.
Taste
The wine is full-bodied with a firm tannic structure. The black fruit notes continue, along with flavors of dark chocolate and coffee. The finish is long and elegant, with a pleasing balance of acidity and tannins.
