The aromas of Lafite in 2013 are complex and fascinating with cigar box, Spanish cedar, and dark fruit. Hints of hot stone. Full body, chewy tannins yet very polished and refined. Solid density on the palate. Very long and impressive. This needs three to five years to open. Very impressive for the vintage.

Compatibility
The wine will perfectly complement red meat and game dishes, be it medallions of beef, venison with berry sauce or lamb in herbs. Smoked meats, stuffed poultry, Parma ham and mature blue cheeses are also well suited as a gastronomic pair.
Color
The wine is purple-black.
Scent
Delightful, incredibly plentiful aroma of wine is filled with magnificent tones of Kirsch, lilac, black raspberry, black currant, nuances of a cigar box, sweet tobacco, moist earth, rosehip tea, cedar, clove, licorice, lead pencil, as well as garrigue and incense.
Taste
The wine has a full, dense, powerful, ripe, juicy taste with high acidity and a lot of tannins. The surprisingly intense and deep notes of black fruits and flowers are complemented by a pleasant freshness. The finish is incredibly long.
