This shows earth and dark fruit on the nose. Full-bodied on the palate, broad and structured, with dark fruit at its core. The tannins are beginning to soften, gaining polish and cohesion. There is power but also balance that brings the wine into focus. Still youthful and structured, it needs time, but its direction is already clear. Drink or hold. 10 Years On retrospective.
Wine Spectator
Features a wide swath of espresso, loam and smoldering tobacco flavors out front, followed by a tighter beam of black currant and blackberry paste. Dense and fleshy in feel, with echoes of warm earth and bittersweet cocoa scoring the finish. This wine flaunts its muscle. Best from 2024 through 2040. 250 cases made.
