A deep and multilayered bouquet reveals shades of ripe raspberry, mulberry, black plum, and fig. With aeration, notes of leather, graphite, cedar, sweet spices, and delicate nuances of coffee beans emerge.
Taste
Voluminous, silky, and beautifully structured on the palate, with soft mature tannins and harmoniously integrated acidity. Shades of dark berries, plum, fig, spices, and delicate earthy nuances dominate the palate. The texture is dense and velvety, while the finish is long, deep, and elegant.

One of the greatest wines in the world and the pinnacle of Pomerol. The 2006 vintage reflects a classic and structured style with an emphasis on balance, depth, and gradual bottle development. It is composed predominantly of Merlot from the legendary plateau known for its rare blue clay soils. These soils give the wine its characteristic density of texture, concentration, and softness of tannins. Petrus 2006 opens slowly and retains serious aging potential, gradually gaining even greater complexity and depth over time.
