The history began in 1997 with Arturo Lomeli's dream to express the magic of Mexican culture and traditions in a unique tequila crafted from the finest blue agave from the highlands of Jalisco. The decanter is a true work of art, crafted by Mexican artisans and inspired by the country's iconic blue agave. In 2007, the Tradición Mazahua ceramics workshop was founded, where Clase Azul Reposado tequila decanters are expertly handcrafted.

Tasting Notes & Aroma Profile

Clase Azul Reposado is a golden-colored beverage having complex aromas of agave syrup and orange, framed by vanilla and oak nuances. A balanced, smooth taste with notes of spice, nuts, and agave, leading to a long, warming finish.

This reposado is distinguished not by its sharp alcoholic strength, but by its complex, soft, and silky aftertaste, closer in feel to aged brandy or light whiskey than to a “sharp” shot.

How to Drink Clase Azul

It is recommended as a digestif, as well as with white fish with citrus sauce, fresh cheeses, vegetable appetizers or strawberries in white chocolate.

We recommend using suitable glassware. Ideally, a snifter/tulip glass or a small glass for strong drinks, so that the aroma is concentrated near the nose, as when tasting cognac or whiskey.

Serving at room temperature is the best option so as not to “freeze” the aroma. The drink should not be cooled too much, otherwise some of the nuances will be lost.

Cocktail Ideas with Tequila 

Several cocktails can be made using this premium tequila (it is aged reposado tequila). It is really excellent for cocktails.

Tequila Sunrise:

• tequila - 50 ml;
• orange juice - 110 ml;
• grenadine syrup - 10 ml;
• ice cubes;
• orange wedge.

Place ice cubes in a shaker, pour in the tequila and juice. Shake and strain into a highball glass. Add the syrup, do not stir.

Palomo:

• 50 ml tequila;
• 100 ml grapefruit juice or grapefruit soda;
• 15 ml lime juice;
• pinch of salt;
• ice.

Fill a glass with ice. Add tequila, grapefruit juice, and lime juice, and stir gently. Add a pinch of salt, if desired, for a more flavorful drink. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and serve.
