Dom Perignon Brut 2013 is a blend of 51% Pinot Noir and 49% Chardonnay. After vinification the champagne is aged for about nine years on the lees, acquiring exceptional depth, many layers and a refined texture. Dom Perignon is released only in those years when the quality of the harvest meets the very highest requirements. The 2013 growing season proved to be one of the latest of recent decades: a cold spring significantly delayed the development of the vines, yet a warm and dry end of summer allowed the grapes to reach excellent ripeness while retaining high natural acidity. This is precisely why the vintage is marked by precision, freshness and a pronounced mineral character. The Dom Perignon philosophy is based on the conviction that a great champagne reveals itself gradually. That is why every vintage is created with decades of development in mind, and the finest bottles are given a second and third life in the legendary P2 and P3 versions.

  • Compatibility

It shows at its best paired with white fish, seafood, caviar, asparagus, truffle dishes, roast poultry and aged cheeses. Its refined style and multi-layered structure allow it to accompany haute cuisine dishes, enhancing their flavour.

  • Color

Pale golden colour with a fine and persistent perlage.

  • Scent

The elegant, gradually unfolding nose combines notes of eucalyptus, mint, vetiver, mirabelle, apricot, white flowers and orange blossom. With aeration, shades of toasted bread, almond, cardamom and fine saline-mineral nuances appear.

  • Taste

A silky, harmonious champagne with an ample texture and expressive acidity. The palate reveals shades of white peach, citrus zest, ripe pear, almond, buttery brioche and light smoky, mineral notes. The long finish is distinguished by saline freshness, purity and refined minerality.

97/100

James Suckling

Perfumed with apple, green mangoes, perfume and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied with a creamy and integrated texture and a subtle finish. Bitters. Botanicals. Intense. Drink or hold.

96/100

Wine Spectator

Vivid acidity and a chalky underpinning make a crystalline frame for finely detailed notes of ripe melon, mandarin orange, toasted brioche and candied ginger in this harmonious Champagne, which is expressive and expansive on the palate, but with a sense of finesse and restraint. Long and creamy on the mineral-laced finish.
