Dom Perignon Brut 2013 is a blend of 51% Pinot Noir and 49% Chardonnay. After vinification the champagne is aged for about nine years on the lees, acquiring exceptional depth, many layers and a refined texture. Dom Perignon is released only in those years when the quality of the harvest meets the very highest requirements. The 2013 growing season proved to be one of the latest of recent decades: a cold spring significantly delayed the development of the vines, yet a warm and dry end of summer allowed the grapes to reach excellent ripeness while retaining high natural acidity. This is precisely why the vintage is marked by precision, freshness and a pronounced mineral character. The Dom Perignon philosophy is based on the conviction that a great champagne reveals itself gradually. That is why every vintage is created with decades of development in mind, and the finest bottles are given a second and third life in the legendary P2 and P3 versions.
James Suckling
Perfumed with apple, green mangoes, perfume and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied with a creamy and integrated texture and a subtle finish. Bitters. Botanicals. Intense. Drink or hold.
Wine Spectator
Vivid acidity and a chalky underpinning make a crystalline frame for finely detailed notes of ripe melon, mandarin orange, toasted brioche and candied ginger in this harmonious Champagne, which is expressive and expansive on the palate, but with a sense of finesse and restraint. Long and creamy on the mineral-laced finish.
