Description
Compatibility
Serve neat at room temperature (20–22 °C), or with a few drops of water to open it up. Works well with dark chocolate, caramel desserts, dried fruit and roasted nuts.
Color
Golden caramel.
Scent
Caramel apple and fresh chocolate, cinnamon-walnut pastry, then dried tangerine peel and plum.
Taste
Bright citrus – bergamot, orange, grapefruit – over dried red fruit, raisin, dark chocolate and caramel-walnut coffee; the finish brings toffee, black date and cinnamon-spiced oak. Kavalan's first whisky with an age statement: at least 15 years in four cask types (ex-bourbon, oloroso sherry, ruby port and puncheon), bottled at 43% ABV in a limited run of 30,000 bottles.
