Scent
On a soft nose, a finely woven wine-woody aroma of great complexity takes time to reveal its individual secrets. Light, fresh and vinous top notes mingle with the linseed oil of the artist's studio, then transition into a warm reminder of sun-bleached polished mahogany, supported by dried edible seaweed, with sweeter notes of baked figs and toffee.
Taste
The light, ultra-smooth and buttery texture has a momentary hint of sweetness that soon takes on a hint of salt and pepper, making things more savory and smoky each time. It captures all of Lagavulin's precious sweet-smoky style in a radiant, rounded form. A splash of water is optional, but seems to enhance the harmony of flavors.
