La Closerie Fac-Simile Rose LC19 is one of the rarest and most sought-after cuvées of the estate created by Jerome Prevost - a winemaker whom many consider the leading specialist in Meunier in modern Champagne. Unlike most of the region's prestigious houses, the philosophy of La Closerie is built around this variety, which is capable of giving wines of exceptional depth, texture and character. Fac-Simile Rose is a single-variety cuvée of Meunier from the historic Les Beguines vineyard. The pink colour and the structure are achieved through a short maceration on the skins, which makes it possible to obtain a natural hue, a more complex aromatic profile and a pronounced vinous character. The cuvée is released exclusively in small batches. The letters LC19 indicate the 2019 harvest, which became the base of the wine. Like Prevost's other wines, the Champagne is made with minimal intervention from the winemaker, long ageing on the lees and an emphasis on the fullest possible expression of the terroir.
