Whiskey Advocate
The aromas seize the senses with peat smoke and saltiness, backed by caramel, fine spices, dried citrus, juicy apples, and seasoned oak. The combination of sweet, salty, and spicy flavors makes this particularly moreish, playing out in a long, leisurely arc of flavor running through honey, vanilla, citrus, dried apricot, pepper, and clove, dipping into pools of white chocolate, milky cappuccino, and chocolate covered hazelnuts. Try pairing it with pecorino romano.

The soft and slightly smoky aroma of whiskey is filled with shades of red berries (currant, raspberry), red pepper, dark chocolate, sea spray, old oak, sour apples and hints of fudge.
Taste
Whiskey has an oily taste with floral tones (heather, rose), shades of salted caramel, chocolate with pepper, smoked barley and nectarine. They are complemented by noticeable woody and spicy notes, as well as subtle herbal shades. The aftertaste is sweetish, smoky, with tones of cedar.
